We heard this mentioned at the fair on the Motonica booth but thought the announcement was still a time away, but today we have gotten confirmation from Motonica USA that Josh Cyrul will race their car for this season. Cyrul is a former IFMAR World's TQ, and multiple national and international race winner and he brings with him many years of racing knowledge and engineering experience.

The tests performed by Stefano Solaroli will follow the Motonica philosophy, with the only target to boost the performance of the new coming models.

Argentina (March 18th) - Second place at the World's Warm-Up
At his first race with the new Motonica P8.0R, Dario Balestri got the 2nd place. Japanese driver Masao Tanaka finished 6th.


South Africa (October 8th) - Victory at Nationals
Jacques Liebenberg with Motonica P8.0 takes the win in the 1/8th Scale On Road A Mains at the 2006 Nationals in Pretoria (South Africa).


The Netherland (August 27th) - Second place at the Dutch Championship
Daniel Van der Drift, driving his new Motonica P8.0 powered Vega, stepped on the podium at the Dutch Championship, right behind the winner, the driver Rick Vrielijnck (Mugen-Ninja).


South Africa (August 6th) - Motonica P8.0 achieves the second place at the National Championship
At his first race with the new model, Jacques Lienberg (18 years old) got the 2nd place driving a Motonica P8.0 with JP engine, right behind Michael Wiseman (Serpent-Mega).


Motonica Germany is strengthening the Team
Joerg and Uwe Baldes are going to Race the new Motonica P8.0R in 2007. The first rollout 2006 of Motonica P8.0 in Germany leads into the German championship 40+ Class 2 VG1:8, reached by Andreas Theis. Nuremberg, 2007 - Japanese driver Masao Tanaka, third in the last World Championship 1/8 track in Messina (Italy) behind Lamberto Collari and Daniele Ielasi, will race 2007 season with Motonica P8.0R and Novarossi.

Nuremberg, 2007 - Motonica updates his top model P8.0 (1:8 scale) with the brand new R version and extends his range introducing the new P8 Base 4WD (1:8 scale) and the P8 Classic 2WD (1:8 scale).
The pure-racing nature is common for all models, as well as the unmistakable Motonica style.


The P8.0R is the technical evolution of the P8.0.
The P8.0R aims to conquer in 2007 the leadership inside the most important and hard championship, corresponding to the Formula 1 championship for real sport cars.
The most relevant innovations are:
The new chassis, which allows to use the car with or without the rear side walls.
The new wheel base 292,5mm.
The new position of the front and rear shock absorbers.
The new fixing system of rear body mount.
